Adeyemo S. Oladotun
Adeyemo S. Oladotun is an ethically-sound scientist-practitioner Clinical Psychologist with deep understanding of Psychological theory and practices. He has worked as a clinical psychologist attached to the Assessment/Emergency Unit of Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Uselu, Benin City and presently a lecturer/researcher and clinical psychologist at the Department of Psychology, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
He is highly proficient in the use of psychological assessments especially in the measuring of IQ, Personality and other Psychological construct domains. He had been involved in planning interventions for different levels of Intellectual disabilities and academic difficulties. As a believer in the dynamism of culture, he marries the existing cultural beliefs with evidence-based psychotherapies. His therapeutic skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies have strengthened the ‘’weak minds’’, penetrated the enduring, hard-wired walls of personality disorder challenges, and repaired the disappointing lives of substance abusers.
Apart from pure clinical practice, Oladotun devotes his spare time to research on neuropsychological issues, Intelligence and other current but relevant psychological issues. His special interest areas are: Neuropsychological Disorders (memory and other executive functions), Substance Abuse Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Personality Issues, Psychological First Aid, coping mechanisms for psychotic disorders, and Intervention for Intellectual Disabilities, and other conditions that may be a focus of clinical attention.
Oladotun holds a BSc degree in Psychology from O.A.U, Ile Ife, Osun State, an MSc Clinical Psychology from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, and currently a PhD student with bias for neuropsychology from University of Ibadan.
